The Winston Salem Avenue Improvements project will provide improved pedestrian access and connectivity between Mediterranean Avenue, the Rudee Loop Walkway and Pacific Avenue. The project supports the goals of the Resort Area Strategic Growth Plan including create great districts with distinctive identities, improve pedestrian connections between destinations, and create a transition from the resort area to the neighborhoods.

Getting There

  • Winston Salem remains closed to through traffic between Baltic and Arctic avenues. Through traffic is detoured to Mediterranean Avenue via Norfolk Avenue instead of Winston Salem Avenue.
  • Access to homes and business located on Winston Salem and Mediterranean avenues will be maintained.
