Small Business Owners: Share Your Perspectives!

The Virginia SBDC Network is partnering with the Federal Reserve Bank to conduct a Small Business Credit Survey. The findings will help them determine needs, gaps, and opportunities to support business owners in accessing capital. The survey closes on November 19. Results will be published in early 2022.

Microsoft Office Specialist: Microsoft Access Expert Prep (July 17 - September 29, 2021)

Saturdays from 8 a.m.- noon

This workshop covers the skills measured on the MOS: Microsoft Access Exam. Participants will cover the skills needed to get the most out of Access to prepare for the MOS: Microsoft Access exam. Topics include Manage Databases, Create and Modify Tables, Create and Modify Queries, Modify Forms in Lay View, and Modify Reports in Layout View. Register here

Effective Customer Service Training with Soft Skills Certificate Training (September 13 - November 3, 2021)

Mondays/Wednesdays from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Strengthen your soft skills to enhance your employability. Some of the soft skills employers look for are active listening, clear and concise communication, positive language, and customer empathy. This workshop prepares participants for frontline roles and positions employees for advancement within the industry. Learn the key skills that are needed to provide high-quality customer service.

Fundamentals of Technical Analysis (September 14 - November 4, 2021)

Tuesdays/Thursdays from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

In this professional development workshop, you will learn about the various patterns, indicators, and analysis techniques traders use when studying the price of a stock. Participants will also learn about identifying trend and reversal patterns and finding support and resistance levels.

Project Management Essentials With CAPM Prep (September 18 - November 6, 2021)

Saturdays from 8 a.m. - noon
The Hive (4636 Columbus Street, Virginia Beach)

Participants will gain skills essential to project managers and those in support roles, with course materials aligned with the internationally recognized standards of project management. Oriented to concepts such as time, cost, risk, and communication. Once completed, participants will meet or exceed the educational prerequisites for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) certification offered through the Project Management Institute (PMI®).
