Svetla Tomanova joins Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development as Marketing Assistant

Svetla Tomanova has joined the Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development as a marketing assistant. She is responsible for assisting with market research, prospect identification and client contact. Most recently, she served as a planner for the City of Virginia Beach with a primary focus on sustainable development.

Tomanova, who has a bachelor’s degree in public administration, brings more than 12 years of international work experience to Virginia Beach, having worked in the private sector in Europe.

“Svetla is an outstanding addition to the Virginia Beach Economic Development team,” said Warren D. Harris, Economic Development director. “She brings an experienced global perspective to our activities, as well as a strong understanding of incorporating digital communications with marketing programs.”
