Sale of Property for Development of Select Service Hotel

This RFP is closed for submissions. ​​

The City of Virginia Beach, Department of Economic Development, is seeking proposals from a qualified developer for the following: ​

To purchase a 3 acre portion of City-owned property located adjacent to the campus of Tidewater Community College and Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia, GPIN 1485-44-2154.

The City desires to sell the Property to a qualified developer who will build a select service hotel compatible to the surrounding community college, medical, sports and residential communities.​

​Q. Is the sale price of the land negotiable?
A. The sales price is negotiable; however, please note the minimum purchase price for the 3-acre parcel​ is $1,734,000 to be paid to the City in exchange for the property at closing.​
Q. Are there any incentives for the developer from the City of Virginia Beach?
A. Any incentives to ​be determined. 
Q. Is the appraisal available?
A. The appraisal synopsis is available here
Q. Will the City pay a commission to the broker?
A. Any broker commission will need to be negotiated with the developer in question.
