The City of Virginia Beach, Public
Works/Real Estate, is seeking proposals from a qualified developer for the
Princess Anne South Independence RFP - DOWNLOAD
To purchase a
portion of City-owned property located at the
northwest corner of the intersection of South Independence Boulevard and
Princess Anne Road, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, GPIN 1485-16-9065 (full legal
description attached as Exhibit A) (the “Property”).
The City acquired the Property
for the purpose of constructing an interchange at the intersection of Princess
Anne Road and South Independence Boulevard. The Property is no longer required
as the proposed interchange was removed from the City Master Street and Highway
Plan several years ago. The City now desires to sell the Property to a
qualified developer who will build a commercial office building or hotel
compatible to the surrounding medical, sports and residential communities.

19th Street Parking Garage RFQ
The Virginia Beach Development Authority issues this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the development of a 19th Street mixed-use parking facility. The development will incorporate form-based code standards to include ground floor setbacks, façade design, and height limitations. The publicly owned parcel is bounded by Arctic Ave. to the east, Baltic Ave. to the west, 19th St. to the south, and 20th St. to the north. All frontage building types will be mixed-use, and the ground floor will be dedicated to commercial use with upper floors accommodating commercial, residential, hotel, or office use. In addition, the 20th St. frontage can be exclusively apartments or row houses. Proposals will include a stormwater compliance plan and a landscape - streetscape plan. The parking facility will have a minimum of 800 public parking spaces, a design life of 50 years, and a completion date of May 2015. View additional information and the RFQ.
