Airports
Norfolk International Airport is a modern facility offering over 160 arrivals and departures daily, to major cities throughout the United States and the world. Norfolk International presently ranks in the top 15% of the country's airports in terms of passengers served annually, with over 3.3 million passengers and over 93,000 flight operations in 2010. Six major airlines serve the region, including American, Delta, Southwest, United Express, and U.S. Airways. Regional carrier service is also available through five airlines. General aviation service is managed by Landmark Aviation. Cargo airlines and air freight forwarders have offices in the airport complex.
Norfolk International Airport offers daily non-stop flights to the following cities: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa and Washington D.C. Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport offers additional airline service in the area with service by AirTran, Delta, Frontier and U.S. Airways. Direct flights are offered to Atlanta, Boston, Denver and other cities. The Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport is less than 50 minutes from Virginia Beach.

More than 135 motor carriers and 50 common carrier terminals serve the Virginia Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
Overnight Package Delivery
Federal Express, UPS., U.S. Mail Express, and a number of other couriers serve the area.
Railroads
Norfolk Southern Railway, Eastern Shore Railroad, Inc., connection to CSX Transportation.
Highway System
Virginia Beach is linked to the national markets by one of the country’s most modern interstate and highway systems. I-64, Hampton Roads’ major east/west route, borders the area. Due west are the north/south interstates I-95 and I-85. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel connects Virginia Beach to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and cuts driving distance to the northeast corridor by 90 miles. Bus Service
Greyhound Bus Line has several routes through the area. Local service is provided by Hampton Roads Transit.
